NEWBORN SESSIONS AND GALLERY
How old should my baby be for a newborn session?
-
It is ideal for baby to be less than 2 weeks old. Tina tries to photograph them between 5 to 10 days. They are the most sleepy and easily posed at this time. They also haven't developed baby acne before this time.
- I have photographed older newborns with some alterations to posing. I also take last minute bookings if the schedule permits.
When should I book a newborn session?
- Schedule anytime before your due date. Most families reserve their sessions in their second trimester or early in the third. Tina only schedules a limited number of newborn sessions a month. This allows some flexibility in time as newborns arrive when they decide not us.
-
Call the studio as soon as possible to schedule your session date after baby arrives to ensure you get the time you need.
Where do session take place?
- Sessions are held inside THP private home studio on Signal Mountain. Each session set up individually according to the clients desires for props, outfits with bonnets or headbands, gowns for mom and siblings, and backgrounds.
How long do sessions last?
- All sessions are baby-led, meaning we work around the babies needs. We allow plenty of time for feedings, cuddles and settling. Sessions are never rushed, so plan accordingly. Tina allots up to 4 hours to complete the session, if there are no sibling shots it can be less than 3 hours.
Are siblings a part of the session?
- Yes siblings are as important to the session as their newborn brother or sister. They are definitely included along with mom and dad! This is such a beautiful time to document the entire family with it's newest tiny member.
Health & Safety
- Newborn health and safety are Tina's top priority and she has received safety training. Baby will not be posed in unsafe ways or in unstable props. All poses are baby led, if Tina feels they are uncomfortable for baby the pose will be modified or avoided.
-
Tina takes every precaution to ensure the cleanliness of the studio and props. All sessions are rescheduled in case of photographer or client illness.
